THE FLYING FLEA ENTERS THE THIRD MILLENIUM
The Flying Flea lives on in the year 2000, who would have ever believed it ? Our Patron
Saint's dream came true and, in 1999, his invention was inducted into the EAA Hall of
fame, in the presence of his son, Pierre. At last, the creator and his plane received
their well deserved recognition.
Like many artists and inventors, for he was both, Henri Mignet faced adversity when he
was alive and has been celebrated only after his death.

| If consecration by American aviation is needed for the renown of such an invention,
the Flea can now forge ahead. The dynamism of the "Societe d'exploitation des
Aeronefs Mignet", the revival of homebuilding using our plans, the circulation of
this newsletter and Fly In's in Dunes, Saint-Andr-de-I'Eure, Dunkerque, everything is
working in our favor.
The Flying Flea has become a classic, impervious to passing fashions. In its first
seventy years, this little plane has survived wars, flourished in peacetime, and inspired
aviators on every continent.
We can be proud of the Flying Flea's magnificent history, rich with memories of a
turbulent and exciting past. and its promise for a glorious future! |
